Master of Science in Natural Resource Management and Rural Development

The MSc in Natural Resource Management and Rural Development is a two-year, four-semester program designed to address the complex challenges of sustainable development in rural and natural landscapes. The curriculum includes theoretical foundations in resource management, practical tools for data analysis, and specialized topics such as green economy, conservation, and rural enterprise development. Students conduct independent research in their final semester, guided by expert faculty and evaluated by a Research Assessment Committee. Admission is open to graduates with a four-year degree in Forestry, Agriculture, Engineering, or Science from Tribhuvan University or a recognized institution, based on a competitive entrance exam. The program emphasizes a blend of classroom learning, hands-on training, and field experience. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in rural development, conservation planning, environmental policy, and natural resource management.
